You’re holding what you called a “punishment”, Mr. President.

I don’t think he ever called a baby a punishment… Perhaps just an unwanted fetus/embryo..?
Why is it that the best the God can do for right now just send his white knights to make ridiculous ads like this?

He publicly stated that he didn’t want his daughters ever “punished with a baby”.  Look it up!

Of course he said that, and I fully agree with him. Having a baby and being forced to keep it shouldn’t be a punishment for a mistake that was made.Anti-choice people commonly use the argument of “you shouldn’t have had unprotected sex if you didn’t want to deal with the consequences [pregnancy].” Which translates into “you made a mistake, so now you have to pay for it by having to go through with your pregnancy and birth, and having to keep the resulting infant.”Having to raise a child should not a punishment against someone who made a mistake.

Let’s not forget the fact that a person may not even make the mistake in the first place (condom breaks, rape, lying partner, etc.) and then they’re getting punished anyway. What a healthy environment for a child to grow up in, with a mother that was forced to have the child against their will. I am very sure the child will grow up as a well-adjusted and productive member of society that doesn’t have a myriad of problems resulting from the self-loathing foisted upon them by an uncaring at best and hostile at worst parent. The possibility of a lifetime of external and internal torture really is the best idea.
Yeah obviously a bit of an extreme example but the fact is you wouldn’t force someone to just adopt a newborn baby if they didn’t want to, would you? Just walk up to some 20 year old girl in college and say “This child is your legal responsibility. Deal with it.” Because you know how badly that’d obviously fucking end. So why is it okay to do basically the same thing just because that girl had sex at some point in her life? I just think that pro-life people aren’t really thinking about the welfare of the child as much as they say they are. Or else there’d be better funding for adoption agencies, better economical incentives to adopt, universal healthcare for minors, etc. Instead of fighting for something that isn’t alive yet and the second it gets born it can die and go straight to heaven (unless it hasn’t been baptized ohhh noooooo).
